EA has just announced that Unravel will be releasing on Febuarary 9th, 2016. When Unravel was first shown off at E3 2015, the audience went nuts! It was something entirely different for publisher EA, an indie game brought to you by Coldwood Interactive.
Unravel is a physics-based puzzle platformer, players will encounter simple challenges, like using Yarny’s thread to swing across a gap, or rappel down a tree to more complex ones, where players will need to use Yarny’s thread in clever and creative ways to find the path forward.
Alongside the release date, we also got a brand new trailer for Unravel. As you can see from above, Unravel is a game all about overcoming obstacles, both big and small. Players will use Yarny’s small thread and big heart to traverse through the breath-taking, lush environments of Northern Scandinavia.
“Gaming is a powerful platform, able to inspire players and touch their hearts. With Unravel, we’re hoping to do just that,” says Martin Sahlin, Creative Director at Coldwood. “Yarny’s quest is to mend broken bonds and the yarn represents the love and connection between people. Along the way, we’ll test your cleverness with environment-based puzzles inspired by our home in Northern Sweden.”
Unravel will be available to purchase via digital download for PS4, Xbox One and PC on Febuarary 9th.
