Xbox One players for the super popular open world dinosaur survival game are getting one of the biggest patches they have seen to date. Originally included on PC Patch 236, the ability to use giant beavers as mounts is coming to the console version of ARK: Survival Evolved. This all comes in tandem with a few performance optimizations as well.
Here are the complete patch notes.
- All PC Content up thru PC version 236 (Terror Bird, Grappling Hook, Handcuffs, Giant Beaver, Tribe Alliances, etc etc)
- Approximately 20% performance increase! Woohoo thanks Microsoft
- All options exposed for dedicated servers, finally! Even custom lists of Engrams & Dino Multipliers, etc!
- Numerous crash fixes
There is currently no confirmed date as to when the patch will officially launch, but a reddit post by Studio Wildcard's Community Manager and Associate Producer, Jat Karunakaran indicated that it will likely hit towards the end of this week.
The developers for Ark: Survival Evolved sure are a wonderful bunch. Split-screen multi-player. Beer. Now we get to ride giant beavers. You really feel like these guys can do literally whatever the hell they want.
