Upcoming Bloodborne update to reduce load times and fix boss glitch

As promised, a patch to fix Bloodborne's annoyingly long load times is on the way.

Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa confirmed update 1.03 "seeks to reduce certain load times in addition to performance optimizations." The key word there is "certain" as it doesn't sound like every portion of the game will have its load times reduced. The patch also promises to fix a glitch in which keeping the game on for 12 hours would result in drastically easier bosses. "Additional fixes will be included as well," Yamagiwa added.

Update 1.03 doesn't yet have a release date, but Yamagiwa said the team is hoping to have it out before the end of April. "We will try to provide more specific timing as soon as we are able," he said.

In other news, Bloodborne has sold through over one million copies worldwide. That's pretty impressive considering it's strictly a PS4 exclusive. It's doubly impressive considering how difficult the game is and how niche of a market it caters towards. Check out our full review of Bloodborne here.
