Battle Mech fans haven't had a whole lot to cheer about over the last few years. While they were big in the 90's, only Armored Core V and the free-to-play Hawken have managed to stand out since they both released all the way back in 2012. Enter Antraxx, a pixelated isometric, top-down mech shooter that is also an MMO. The game has been in development for five years and is about to launch its official Kickstarter campaign on October 1st.

One of the things that Antraxx is trying to do differently is that they have developed the game beyond the standard combat that you find in every other mech game (not that it isn't important) is that players will be contending with politics and economics to increase their influence on the game world.
