Psyonix announced today a brand new update for Rocket League that'll give players the option to create their own custom matches with unique "Mutators," a suite of alternative presets and settings that add depth, variety, and more crazy rocket-powered fun to custom games.
The free update will arrive on PC and PS4 this November and will allow for a variety of new game-alts, including the low-gravity "Moonball" or the classic Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars game modes,"Cubic" and "Time Warp." A special "Mutator Mashup" playlist will launch alongside the update and combine some of these preset modes into a single, randomized list of online games.
Perhaps the coolest of all the Mutators will turn the cars-meets-soccer game into cars-meets-hockey. Coming this December is a Mutator that'll turn the grassy field into a icey rink and the ball into a puck.
