Originally scheduled to hit theaters on February 9th, 2018, the upcoming Predator film has been pushed back a few months to make it part of the summer blockbuster season. The new release date puts it between a Will Ferrell andJohn C. Reilly comedy Holmes & Watson, a TBA Disney live-action film, and the same week Mission: Impossible 6 releases.
The new release date is officially August 3rd, 2018 and hopefully, it won't get pushed back again. Director Shane Black has confirmed that this Predator film is not a reboot, but a sequel to the original films.
The cast for the new Predator have been revealed in a series of photos, one partial cast shot here and another here. Predator stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Keegan-Michael Key (Keanu, Key & Peele), Sterling K. Brown (The People v. OJ Simpson), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), and 10-year-old Jacob Tremblay (Room).
