Update: It's official, Skate 3 is backward compatible. It is available on the Xbox One today. In addition to that, the San Van Party Pack DLC will be free to download between November 10 and November 20.
Original: When Xbox Head Phil Spencer teased that November would be a good month for backward compatibility, he meant it. We have already seen a number of Xbox 360 games hit the Xbox One this month, including Blue Dragon and the Mass Effect trilogy and it looks like there's another game to add to the list.
Reports of Skate 3 finally heading to the Xbox One via backward compatibility have been rolling in. It all began with one Reddit user noticing the game on their Xbox dashboard as backward compatible! Phil Spencer did comment on the game heading to the Xbox One, saying it was coming, but he couldn't give a date.
Well, now all we need is an official announcement because it's obviously coming.
Skate has been a pretty big focus for some gamers, the EA Instagram was inundated with Skate 3 requests and a major online retailer for skateboard took up the cause and began supporting the wish to make EA focus on Skate. Luckily, we can all move on to bugging EA about Skate 4 after this.
