[Update: It’s Official] Rumor: Call of Duty: Black Ops is available on Xbox One via backwards compatibility

Update: It's confirmed to be available

Original:

Fans have been begging for it for a long time and it's finally happening. Microsoft and Activision have finally answered fan prayers and made Call of Duty: Black Ops backwards compatible.

It still hasn't been officially announced, but reports are coming in all over the net and we at GameZone can confirm it as well, Call of Duty: Black Ops is joining the ranks of backwards compatible games on Xbox One. The game is being advertised as playable on Xbox One on the Xbox 360 dashboard. Microsoft's Director of Program Management, Mike Ybarra, also posted a cryptic tweet saying "~13.5 hours. #Xbox", something that is possibly hinting that the official backwards compatibility announcement is coming in about 13.5 hours after the point of him tweeting it.

Who knows, maybe this will be enough to get angry fans to stop down voting the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer.

Xbox owners should also expect that bigger Xbox 360 games, those who required two disks, to become backwards compatible as well since Microsoft has figured out how to make the dual disk games work on the Xbox One.
