Uplay+ trial gives you access for over 100 games for a week

Ubisoft is giving everyone free access to their gaming subscription Uplay+ for a whole week. You can take benefit from this promotion starting today until July 27th. Just don’t forget to cancel the subscription before the seven-day free trial ends to not automatically be charged for a full month.

Gaming subscriptions are gaining massive traction, especially on the console space thanks to Microsoft’s Game Pass and Electronic Arts’ EA Access. The success of both led to the services extend on to the PC platform even.

But as it stands, there are many more games that aren’t part of either subscription due to licensing issues. Arguably one of the biggest competitors is the large game publisher Ubisoft and its treasure trove of classic and modern games alike. Last year, the French gaming giant finally unveiled its own gaming subscription Uplay+.

The biggest allure of it is not only being able to play the countless existing Ubisoft titles but also getting immediate access to all future games under the company banner right off the launch. Massive saving over purchasing each new Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, etc. separately. And we’re not even talking about subsequent season passes.

But Uplay+ didn’t manage to become similarly successful as EA’s or Microsoft’s offerings by nature of being PC-exclusive for the moment. Then there is the value proposition where Uplay+ simply is much more expensive than the competition.

To help eager gamers to experience the real value of the service, Ubisoft has announced a new promo in which users can try the game subscription service for an entire week for free. It’s a smart move by the game company just days before their highly-anticipated game showcase Ubisoft Forward where gamers will be bombarded by exciting future releases that are going to be available on Uplay+. We wouldn’t be surprised if Ubisoft also shared plans about bringing Uplay+ to next-gen consoles, too!
