Valve: No announcements for E3 2012

It's that time of year again, publishers and journalists alike are beginning to plan their E3 schedules. It's a crazy, yet fun filled time full of speculation. This year's E3 is no different – Assassin's Creed III, Halo 4, GTA V – what's not to love about that lineup? One developer in particular, though – Valve – has been on everyone's E3 list with possible reveals like Half Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3.

Well, guess what? Valve has confirmed that they'll have no E3 announcements, only previews for previously announced games:

Valve president Gabe Newell stated in an email this morning, "We're not announcing anything. Really. We are not announcing Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3." He continued, "We are going to be showing stuff everyone already knows about (CS: Go, Dota 2, 10 UI',…)."

As the old saying goes, "there's always next year."
