If anyone from Valve dares to step out of their cave, they can be sure of one thing – someone is going to be asking about Half-Life 3, Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. A writer from Valve attended EGX today and of course, someone had to mention one of the three horsemen.
Chet Faliszeck of Valve is pretty personal with the games that created an unquenchable lust for more; he worked with other writers to bring Half-Life and Portal to life, and personally wrote Left 4 Dead.
During EGX Faliszeck spoke on VR and, of course, a ballsy event attendee had to ask if Half-Life 3 would be a VR game. Faliszeck replied curtly with a "no" and continued on speaking about VR headsets and how they wouldn't be going wireless because of innate limitations.
Again, the event attendee spoke up – this time it was about VR — Just kidding, the person asked about Half-Life 3 again, to which Faliszeck 'jokingly' replied, "I said 'no'."
Sure, it was a joke… or maybe Faliszeck had the doom of a thousand souls in his eyes when he replied because the audience member didn't speak up again.
One day, we will hear about Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. *wipes tears from eyes*
