Venom spinoff gets hit with a production delay

Now that Spider-Man is firmly established in the MCU, Marvel hasn't wasted much time in getting Venom up and going. Unfortunately, reports are coming in of a slight production start date delay, which was originally scheduled to start on September 1st. Given that we are about a week and a half beyond that start date, things have changed.

As reported by Omega Underground, Venom will start production on October 23rd.

An official reason for the delay has not been given, but as Omega Underground points out, it is thought that recent crew hirings are in part to blame.

Venom is set to release sometime in 2018 and will star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock. Carnage will also reportedly make his MCU debut as the film's antagonist, so it'll be interesting to see an actual super villain movie from Marvel in action.
