Vertigo Games announces Cook, Serve, Delicious!

Today David Galindo teased his next game: the commercial sequel to Ore no Ryomi, his "arcade-action-management style fan games" from years prior.

Galindo and his studio, Vertigo Games, encountered problems while developing their previously announced Neptune Gasoline, which is now at a standstill. The developer expressed his need to start over with a fresh endeavor and described working on the new game as a "welcome relief … after Neptune Gasoline exploded in my face."

Artist Sara Gross and composer Jonathan Geer (Liquisity 2, The Oil Blue) are also involved with the project.

According to Galindo, "The game has been in production since March, and work is going quite nicely. Right now Game Maker 8.1 is powering the game, which will allow for a Windows DRM free release, but I’m making it to where I have the option of smoothly porting it to Game Maker Studio once that’s released, so that I have more options available to port the game to other platforms."

The game is expected to release this summer.
