The leaked Battlefield: Hardline footage from earlier today was actually from an internal meeting at Visceral Games that took place six months ago, according Visceral Games VP and General Manager Steve Papoutsis. For the "real deal," you'll have to tune in to Electronic Arts' E3 media briefing on Monday, June 9, he added.
Addressing the leak, Papoutsis said it's "not how we wanted to unveil Hardline, but all good," sarcastically adding "[We] didn't want to wait til E3 anyway."
"Excited to see so much buzz for the old footage," he continued. "Love it. Can't wait to show you how much further the team has taken things.
"We're pouring everything we've got into this [and] stoked tos hare details on June 9 – maybe even a little more before then if you want it."
EA and Visceral have since pulled the leaked Hardline gameplay video, but not before many of the campaign and multiplayer details were made public. We've refrained from posting many of the spoilers to save some excitement for E3, but I'm sure a quick search on the Google machine will reveal a lot.
