Netflix and DreamWorks Animation have come together to bring a number of original series to the media streaming service. Shows like The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Dinotrux and Dragons: Race to the Edge, and more will be available through Netflix in most regions, outside of China.
“DreamWorks Animation is synonymous with great storytelling that families around the world enjoy,” said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Series for Netflix. “It’s with great pleasure that we expand on an already successful relationship with DreamWorks Animation to bring more premium kids and family television to Netflix members globally.”
Netflix and DreamWorks won't only be bringing back previously aired shows though, they will also be developing a number of new original series. Of the new shows, Voltron, the 1984 anime series will be seeing a reboot and Guillermo del Toro's 'Trollhunters' will be making its debut.
Del Toro’s Trollhunters has been described as “a new, fantastical world wrapped around two best friends who make a startling discovery beneath their hometown.” Both shows are expected to release this year.
