Voting for the athlete to grace this year's Madden NFL 16 cover opens up today, but unlike the past, the pool of players is much more limited.
This year, NFL fans will only vote on four semifinalists. They are:
- Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants WR
- Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers WR
- Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots TE
- Patrick Peterson, Arizona Cardinals CB
Voting will take place in two rounds, with players choosing between four of the NFL's "best playmakers". The two highest vote-getters will go head-to-head in the finals on May 13 on ESPN. I wonder how Colin Cowherd feels about his network talking about video games.
Voting for the semifinal round begins today, Monday, May 4, at 11:00am ET, and closes on Monday, May 11, at 3:00am ET. The two finalists will be announced on Tuesday, May 12, with the winner being revealed during the 6:00pm ET SPortsCenter on Wednesday, May 13.
