Walton Goggins reportedly in “final negotiations” to be the bad guy Tomb Raider reboot

New details on the upcoming Tomb Raider film starring Alicia Vikander were revealed towards the end of November, but did not reveal much about the film's antagonist. Now, it is being reported that WB has picked who they want to play the villain.

According to Variety, actor Walton Goggins is in final negotiations with Warner Bros, MGM and GK Films for the role of the film's antagonist. Goggins has played a role in  Quentin Tarantino’s “The Hateful Eight,”  HBO's Vice Principles, Sons of Anarchy, Justified and much more.

The film is said to be a "back to the roots" story that focuses on Lara Croft's search for her father, who may be dead or alive. Not many details besides that have been shared as of yet!

Tomb Raider is dated to release in theaters March 16, 2018.
