Warcraft movie pushed to 2016

Universal and Legendary Pictures have delayed the Warcraft movie until 2016.

The feature film based on Blizzard Entertainment's successful massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft was supposed to release on Dec. 18, 2015. Variety reports that it will now hit theaters on March 11, 2016.

It's possible that the previous December date conflicted too much with the release of Star Wars: Episode 7, which Disney and Lucasfilm have planned for the same day.

World of Warcraft turned 9 years old this month.
