Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr gets a free set of story books leading up to release

Aw yes, lore books!

The very first Warhammer 40.000 action role-playing game is currently deep in development and with the release of such a lore heavy game the developers and Tech-Priests at Neocore is releasing some free episodic story books!

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is an action RPG set in the distant Caligari Sector, a sector which gets cut off from the rest of the empire for long periods of time due to Warp surges. Due to the long periods without any communication with the empire, the Caligari Sector is a breeding ground for heretical thoughts and Chaos. Inquisitor – Martyr has a vast open world filled with life and is set in a universe already filled with lore, and now this rich universe will get even more lore with the release of these lore story books.

With Inquisitor – Martyr being set in a distant and rarely explored sector and since not everyone is that familiar with Warhammer 40,000 lore developer Neocore is releasing a free short story series called The Caligari Archivum to both expand on their part of the universe and to build a backstory. The Caligari Archivum will be an expanding series of books consisting of both short stories and novellas in an episodic format written by different authors.

The first book to release is Above and Beyond, written by Áron Némethnd, and follows an Inquisitorial investigation in the Caligari Sector that discovers what nightmarish horrors resides on the worlds that have lost contact with the God-Emperor.
