Warhammer 40,000 Space Wolf releases on Steam today

Die, heretic!

The digital Warhammer 40.000 universe has just gotten even bigger with the release of Warhammer 40.000 Space Wolf.

Earlier today, the Kaliningrad-based developer, HeroCraft, released the PC version of Warhammer 40.000 Space Wolf on Steam as an Early Access game. Space Wolf is a turn-based deck-building strategy game with RPG elements. The game puts players in control of squad leader Valgard Twice Slain as he and his contingent of Space Wolfs are forced to emergency land on a feral planet after being attacked by the Chaos Space Marines. Down on the planet Valgard and his team have to fight for survival against the heretical worshippers of the Chaos Gods, and as HeroCraft puts it "You will emerge victorious or die fighting for the Emperor!".

As some people might already know, Warhammer 40.000 Space Wolf was originally a mobile game for both iOS and Android devices but it has now made the jump from mobile to Windows PC. With that in mind, the developers assure gamers that Space Wolf won't just be a simple port but a game made for PC. The game comes with a juiced up graphics, a new GUI, controls designed for PC, and everything else a PC game should come with.

"This is not the simple port of a mobile game; we intend to make a cool PC game, so we’re looking forward to the audience’s feedback, so that we can plan our development route accordingly."

Space Wolf also comes with something else that every full game should come with, no microtransactions or other in-game monetary transactions.

Warhammer 40.000 Space Wolf is available now on Steam for $11.99 but is on a 15 percent discount for the first week. But remember, it is an early access game and things will change over time.
