He who waits for something good never waits too long, and today Fatshark finally announced when their long awaited console version of Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide will be released.
Back in April the CEO and co-founder of Fatshark, Martin Wahlund, said that the console versions for Vermintide would be coming "soon" and is seems like soon for Mr. Wahlund is about six monthconsidering that Vermintide will be coming to consoles on October 4th.
For those who missed out on Vermintide when it was released in October last year, it is a co-op action first person shooter/ melee combat adventure set in the enormous Warhammer universe. The game tasks players to deal with a tide of gigantic vermin creatures, rats, and to set a stop to the cataclysmic End Times event. It's basically Left 4 Dead set in Warhammer with bows and swords.
Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide will give console players everything that PC players have which means: 4 player co-op, huge arsenal to play with, epic quests, a ton of rats to kill, "Shiny Loot", and much more. On top of that, being the good guy company that Fatshark is the console versions will come complete with every piece of DLC released on PC, bringing the level count up to 18 playable levels.
In the words of Mr. Wahlund "More than half a million PC gamers have already taken Vermintide to their heart, and this fall it's time for console players to do the same. The consoles will get an extended version that includes all DLCs released for the PC version to date"
A great way of passing the time while waiting for Vermintide to release on consoles on October 4th is this GameZone exclusive interview with the CEO and co-founder Martin Wahlund who also happens to be a really great guy.
