Warner Bros. Interactive to handle North American distribution of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Distribution and promotion of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in North America will be handled by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, CD Projekt RED announced today.

“The premiere of The Witcher 3 is the most important event in CD Projekt’s history," CD Projekt president Adam Kicinski told us. "Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is an extremely valuable partner for us because of their experience and established position on the American market, which is crucial to CD Projekt’s further rapid development. We’re very happy that our partners share our faith in The Witcher 3’s success and are ready to become fully engaged in providing promotion and sales support for the franchise in North America."

Wild Hunt is the third installment of the Witcher saga and will be the finale game in the series. Shortly after its announcement, CD Projekt claimed it will be the "perfect RPG." Those are some mighty big words to live up to, but judging by what we've seen of the game, CD Projekt certainly seems up for the challenge. At E3, it was one of the more lauded titles, garnering over 50 awards.

The Witcher 3 is expected to release in 2014 on Xbox One and PlayStation4, as well as PC.
