Once upon a time we saw Arnold Schwarzenegger bathe in mud to cover his scent, these days though, mud just doesn't cut it any more. Looking to stay ahead of the curve, Universal Studios had Jurassic World leads Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard covering themselves in poop to snuff out their scent.
The scene is a bit odd (which is probably why it was cut) because Bryce Dallas Howard's method of smearing poo on her leg is somewhat sexual. At least Chris Pratt and the entire shot made it seem like that. Out of context it could have definitely been considered some smut film.
It looks like playing around with dinosaur poop is a theme in the Jurassic series. In 1993 we saw Dr. Ellie Sattler, Laura Dern, inspect some poo to determine what caused a Triceratops to become ill. Of course, that scene was for science and this one… well, a simple mud bath could have dealt with the scent issue.
