A Plague Tale: Innocence, previously known as simply The Plague, by Focus Home Interactive and Asobo Studio has shown itself in a teaser trailer that was revealed at E3 2017. The game casts players in the role of an orphan Amicia, as you guide her younger brother, Hugo through a journey of escaping the French Inquisition while evading the swarms of plague infested rats that are ravaging the kingdom.
Here's the trailer:
The game blends elements of Action, Adventure, Puzzle, and Stealth mechanics into its repertoire with the rat plague hanging over the player as a constant threat, which can at times be used to your advantage. Since your character is but a teenager, her combat skills are lacking, to say the least. As a result, the player will have to use the environment, including the rats themselves if they hope to survive encounters with the French Inquisition.
A Plague Tale: Innocence does not currently have a release date, but we will let you know when it has one.
