[Watch] Absolver is Dark Souls But Kung Fu Where You Build Your Own Fight Style

What makes Dark Souls so likable? Aside from its difficulty, it's probably the loot. Different weapons that fight differently. Well what if you took that idea and took the weapons away. Strange move, right? Well, replace the weapons with punching/kicking moves. That's how you get Absolver.

It actually gets a bit more complex than that. You don't just pick a fighting style, equip it, and punch dudes. Players will actually get to fully customize their fighting style, choosing what the character will do as their first hit, second hit, etc. It's like building your own mechanics.

Even the "loot" system is cool. Instead of picking up your enemy's sword or money, you learn the moves they use by fighting them. This is exactly how someone would perfect a fighting style in real life: Observation.

What do you think of this video? Is it unique enough to grab your interest? Absolver releases on August 29 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
