Adult Swim has released an "8-Bit" version of the intro to 'Rick and Morty' and it might be the best intro we could ask for.
'Rick and Morty' has garnered a massive cult following since its premiere in 2013. With its dry wit and revolving door of hilarious guest stars, it's proven that it can maintain its intelligent and dark sense of humor, without being above the occasional fart joke.
Now that season three is just around the corner, Adult Swim has recruited animator Paul Robertson to put together a charming 8-Bit intro that features most of the monsters and aliens Rick and the Smith family have encountered over the years. While most will say, "This…isn't actually 8-bit", the fact of the matter is it couldn't matter less. The intro is super entertaining and a huge treat for fans of the series.
'Rick and Morty' hasn't been shying away from the gaming community lately. Not only has producer and star, Justin Roiland, started his own VR gaming company called "Squanchtendo", named after the lovable little behemoth, Squanchy, but the 2016 San Diego Comic Con also featured the first playable demo for 'Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-Ality'. With any hope, these are the first signs of a new line-up of 'Rick and Morty' related gaming on the horizon.
