[Watch] Assassin’s Creed: Unity actually looks pretty awesome running with PS4 Pro’s Boost Mode

There was a time when Assassin's Creed: Unity was the proverbial whipping boy among gamers around the internet. Though, to be fair, No Man's Sky appears to have trumped that by a mile. Several PS4 Pro owners have also found themselves in possession of Beta invites for the upcoming Update 4.5 that will bring the increasingly legendary Boost Mode to the upgraded console. Gamers have been posting videos of a variety of games showing off the effects of the new feature, including Bloodborne, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Rainbow Six: Siege.

However, Assassin's Creed: Unity, a game that has long since fallen off the radar, appears to have gotten one of the best performance upgrades of them all. As you can see from the video above, Unity runs about as crisply as one could hope, with zero dips in framerate. Unity got many major patches, but one thing it never did was lock the game's framerate. Those days appear to be over.

If this is an example of things to come, the PS4 Pro has the potential to become a hot item in the near future.
