The PlayStation VR exclusive Batman: Arkham VR was a visual example of what VR can be, even though it was short. Reviews all over call it a demo worth its $20 price tag. If console gamers approve of what is essentially just a taste of what VR can do, then the announcement for PC release should bode well, with PC gamers more accustomed to experimental games.
Batman: Arkham VR has been announced for PC on the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift beginning April 25.
From the game's official website:
"PC players now have the opportunity to experience Gotham City through the eyes of the World’s Greatest Detective, and delve deep into a tense Batman: Arkham mystery. Enter a virtual reality world where you must think like Batman and utilize his legendary gadgets, unraveling a plot that threatens the lives of his closest allies."
Batman: Arkham VR was one of the main sellers for PlayStation VR, so this move's effect on the opinion of the PlayStation VR, the low-end/low-cost VR experience, has yet to be seen. Hopefully, it helps the VR experience overall.
