[Watch] Bit.Trip’s Runner series is back with Runner3

It's no secret that the Bit.Trip Runner games are pretty awesome. Gaijin Games released the original Bit.Trip Runner in 2011 and it was met with pretty good reviews, the sequel was met with even better reviews.

Luckily, we are finally getting another installment in the series! The first teaser for Runner3 has released (you can view it below).

Along with the announcement, the developers set up an official site that detailed their goals with Runner3:

"Runner3 is the upcoming (and perhaps unsurprisingly) third entry in the BIT.TRIP RUNNER series. We’re committed to making it the best game we’ve ever made, and we want you to hold us to it. "

"We plan to be very open with you about the creation of Runner3, and we even plan to solicit feedback occasionally and offer user polls to give everyone a chance to chime in and help us think of things like level names, possible unlockable outfits, and more."

The developers went on to say that they wanted to outdo the previous games in "every possible way." Something they understand is a lofty goal, but they will make it happen!

The release window for Runner 3 is 2017 and no platform details were released, however, the developers did have this to say about the upcoming addition to the Runner series:

"If you like being challenged relentlessly, will you get that? Yes. (It is us, after all.) But if you prefer being able to experience the entire game without being ultra-challenged, you'll be able to do that as well–without penalty. We have some very interesting tricks up our sleeve as to how we're going to accomplish this, and we'll be revealing them here over the course of development, so keep checking back."

Check out the teaser!
