Capcom is bringing people back to their childhood today in announcing The Disney Afternoon Collection. Releasing next month, it will include six classic Disney games from the 90's remastered in full HD. The games included are
All six games will feature 1080P HD support along with new modes – Boss, Time Attack, Disney Museum, to test your hand at. In Boss Rush mode, players battle through challenging boss encounters consecutively, while Time Attack mode encourages time-based gameplay and provides online leaderboards that track the fastest times for each game. A new “Rewind” feature makes these challenging titles more accessible for newcomers, with the option to rewind time and enjoy a swift recovery from blunders. Additionally, the in-game Disney Museum will provide history buffs with a wealth of content to celebrate the era of the original releases, such as concept art, advertisements, character art, and music – all preserved in their original glory.
All of the games aired after school back in the 80's / 90's and were released as far back as the original NES. They were great games in their time and were the very definition of "Nintendo hard". With the newly remastered modes and graphics, it should be interesting to see how they pan out. Disney XD is also airing a newly rebooted Ducktales series beginning this Summer, which will be headlined by Doctor Who star David Tenant.
The Collection will release on April 18th on Xbox One and PS4 as well as PC for $19.99
