The game does get a slight uptick in FPS performance

In case for some reason, you haven't already heard the news, Call of Duty: World at War is now playable on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility. This is of course excellent news considering the droves of unknown titles that seem to keep being revealed all the time, not to mention that Call of Duty is one of the most voted-for franchises for Backwards Compatibility support. 

Naturally, when a big game becomes playable on a new platform, one of, if not the very first questions that everyone has is, "how does it run?" In World at War's case, the answer is "improved." The folks over at Digital Foundry are once again satisfying their neverending curiosity when it comes to game performance in this latest video of Call of Duty: World at War.

While the game still has the occasional frame rate drops in the more chaotic moments of the game, they are far less noticeable, and some of the more minute drops have all but been eliminated. The resolution appears unchanged (naturally), but that's to be expected since you will be playing the same game you already own.

Until Infinite Warfare launches on November 4th, you can hold yourself over with another run through (or two) of World at War to get yourself ready.
