Watch Claptrap fail at guiding you through Borderlands 3

Gearbox has released a new trailer for their highly-anticipated shooter-looter Borderlands 3. It’s the first video in the new Claptrap’s Interplanetary Series of videos where the franchise’s mascot tries to present prospect players with the new world, enemies and more. Watch it below!

Saying that Borderlands 3 has been a long time coming would be a vast understatement. In fact, it’s rather baffling that it took developer Gearbox so long to finally bring out a proper third entry in the popular looter-shooter franchise. Borderlands 2 came out a massive seven years ago for Sony’s and Microsoft’s last-gen systems, the PS3 and Xbox 360. We are now experiencing the closing year of the next-gen systems PS4 and Xbox One and just now are we close to getting the third Borderlands game. It’s kind of insane when you realize how popular Borderlands 2 in particular was.

The original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and an all-new mayhem-fueled adventure. Blast your way through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization. Play solo or join with friends to take on insane enemies, collect loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.

Either way, now is the time for excitement as Borderlands 3’s launch is steadily closing in. On September 13 this year, fans of co-op shooting and loot hoarders will finally be able to get their hands on the much-coveted third Borderlands game. In preparation for the launch, we get the first trailer in a series about getting to know the world, inhabitants and mechanics of the game. While the jolly little robotic fella Claptrap has a hard time properly presenting the video, we still get to see a nice look of some new enemies and a sneak-peek at some locations too.

Gearbox also released brand-new screenshots. Check them out here!
