[Watch] Comparison video argues that Mafia 3 is a downgrade from Mafia 2

Someone made a comparison video showing off Mafia 2 gameplay versus Mafia 3 and it's not pretty. This video comes after Mafia 3 has been absolutely ripped to shreds on social media.

It looks like the six years between each game led to steps back when it comes to detail, but steps forward with some gameplay mechanics. YouTuber Eduard Makarchev set both Mafia 2 and 3 to max settings on PC and recorded certain aspects of gameplay.

Check it out below:

In Mafia 2, if you shoot out the windshield of a car, the broken glass stays on the hood and slides off when you move the car. In Mafia 3, however, the glass simply disappears after breaking. The difference in debris doesn't begin and end there, even shooting the ground in Mafia 2 produces more debris than in Mafia 3.

The fighting style is also pretty different in Mafia 3 compared to Mafia 2, as is car theft. Basically, everything is a bit more in detailed in Mafia 2.
