[WATCH] Conan Exiles reveals its new expansion, The Frozen North and Xbox One release date

It brings a host of new additions.

Conan Exiles has been in Steam's Early Access program for most of this year, but in a new press release from developer, Funcom, it looks like the long-awaited Xbox One Preview Program version finally has a release date. Starting on August 16th, 2017, Conan Exiles goes live on Xbox One alongside the game's all new expansion, The Frozen North. Funcom detailed what you will get in The Frozen North expansion in an all-new video which you can check out below.

The Frozen North will be added to Conan Exiles at no additional charge and adds 70% more landmass to the game's already huge open world. As you might imagine, the expansion adds a different climate to the game and one that is the antithesis of the desert environment from the standard game. That said, part of the expansion's new offerings are character reactions to hot and cold weather, fermenting a necessity to wear light clothing in the desert, and heavy fur in the North.

There are also new mechanics including the ability to brew alcohol, cook, set fish traps and partake in beekeeping. There is also a new religion for players to follow, the God Ymir, the Lord of Storm and War.

Conan Exiles is available now on Steam and will be soon on Xbox One.
