Darksiders: Warmastered Edition's release is upon us, and THQ Nordic has officially confirmed that the game will be the company's first PS4 Pro supported title. The game releases next week, November 22nd for PS4 and Xbox One, and then on November 29th for PC, with a Wii U version due sometime later after that.
Here's a list of features that come with Darksiders: Warmastered Edition:
- PS4, Xbox One and Wii U versions of Darksiders (Wrath of War)
- Native 1080p rendering resolution for console platforms
- 4k support for PC and PS4 Pro
- Doubled all the texture resolutions
- Rendering improvements and rework
- 60 FPS in moment to moment gameplay (30 for Wii U)
The game was originally (and prematurely) revealed at the end of July and casts players in the role of War, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The story is all about how War is deceived into inciting a war between the forces of heaven and hell, then being stripped of his powers and cast down to Earth as punishment. War is given one chance to find the truth and defeat the ones responsible.
Darksiders is widely recognized as one of the most underrated games of the last generation, taking heavy inspiration from the likes of The Legend of Zelda. So if you haven't played the game, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is as good a place to start as any.
