[Watch] Destiny: Rise of Iron’s The Dawning event gets launch trailer just ahead its start date

Last year, Guardians everywhere got their first taste of the now annual Sparrow Racing League (including us) and once again, beginning tomorrow, the race is on. Starting on December 13th, Rise of Iron players can take part in the holiday festivities that Bungie is calling The Dawning.

The Dawning brings with it new gifts and games, including the return of the exotic sniper rifle, the Ice Breaker and some updates to three of Destiny's strike missions. One of the more exciting new features is a new supercharged scoring and progress system for strikes (which you can see from the trailer above), which will be presided over by Commander Zavala and incorporate the new SIVA enemies.

On top of that, there are new quests, new gear sets, and exotic weapons to unlock, so Destiny fans should have plenty to do over the next three weeks.
