Watch Dogs: Legion shows how recruitment works & Aiden Pearce reveal

Ubisoft has shared a new trailer for Watch Dogs: Legion where viewers get a closer look at how one of the core gameplay mechanics works, recruitment. Check out the video below!

The Watch Dogs series is a wild beast. It’s common for developers to require several attempts at a new IP to establish an identity but with Watch Dogs, every game featured a distinct vibe and feeling. While the original one focused on a more gritty and realistic approach, Watch Dogs 2 went more light-hearted and punk themes.

But with Watch Dogs: Legion Ubisoft has arguably created the biggest differentiator yet in the form of the recruitment system. You see, there is no protagonist in this game. At least not one. Instead, players will be able to recruit and play as virtually every citizen of the Orwellian London presented in the game.

Since this mechanics is such an integral part of the experience, we now have a new video that goes a bit more into detail what players can expect to see when the game launches next month.

Besides that though Ubisoft also had a surprise with the reveal that Aiden Pearce, Watch Dogs 1’s hero, is joining the resistance in Watch Dogs: Legion. His appearance will be much more than just a skin however with Aiden receiving a unique story arc and skills as well. Aiden Pearce will be included in the Season Pass and comes post-launch.

Watch Dogs: Legions is due out October 29th for current-gen systems PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Next-gen versions will be available November 10th for the Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 when it launches.
