Ubisoft's highly anticipated open-world title Watch Dogs will be released on June 30, if a new listing on the Sony Entertainment Network is to be believed.
It's possible that the date could serve as a placeholder for the listing of the digital version, which is priced at $39.99. It's not uncommon for online retailers to put up a estimated release date for a product, perhaps indicating that the game will launch some time around this date. The good thing is that June 30 happens to be a Tuesday which is typically when games release here in the United States. While it's entirely possible the date is wrong, it could also serve as indication that an official announcement from Ubisoft is at least imminent.
Ubisoft delayed Watch Dogs in October 2013, just a month before it was due out. It's certainly been a long development run for the game which was first teased back at E3 2012 during Ubisoft's press conference. Hopefully the wait has been worth it, though the lack of hands-on time with the game at press events is a little alarming.
