It has been confirmed by cinematics animation lead Lars Bonde that Watch Dogs will run at 1080p natively on the PlayStation 4 (PS4).
Speaking to PC Gamer Bonde stated the Ubisoft is "utilising Xbox One to its full capabilities and the same with the PS4, of course. I know that, as far as to my knowledge, on the PS4 it will run in full HD." The statement in itself does not clarify what the Xbox One version of the game will run at, but there certainly are rumors making their way around the web.
It's suspected that Watch Dogs will run at a lower resolution on the Xbox One, perhaps 900p – no confirmation on this.
The expectation is that both versions (PS4 and Xbox One) will run at 30fps.
Watch Dogs is releasing on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC on May 27. The Wii U will release later in the fall of this year.
