[Watch] Far Cry 5 gets new details, gameplay in new video

It's looking good!

As we approach the release date for Far Cry 5, Ubisoft has released a video showing off some gameplay for the game, as well as some new details on the game.

Throughout the 20 to 30 hours long playthrough, players will be meeting more characters than they ever have met in the series before. Previously, Far Cry games would introduce players to around 18 to 20 characters in a storyline. In Far Cry 5, players will interact with over 65 NPCs. In additiont to that, every side character has a job purpose. Squads and units interact and banter.

As far as co-op goes, it’s the same as solo-play with your squad, but with a friend instead. Of course, wildlife will be playing a role in the game – as it does in most Far Cry games.

Back in December, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 5 would be moved from its February 27th, 2018 release to March 27th, 2018. The decision was made so that the developers could spend more time polishing the game, as they did with Assassin’s Creed Origins with great success.

Far Cry 5 will now release on March 27th, 2018 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. No Nintendo Switch version has been revealed or publically discussed. The game has not yet gone gold.
