NetherRealm Studios has revealed the newest playable character for Injustice 2 in a gameplay trailer with Firestorm. We see Firestorm (real name Ronnie Raymond) battle it out against Catwoman, Green Arrow and Green Lantern (who was shown off in the story trailer) with an appearance from Killer Croc during his super move.
He was first revealed by the WWE tag team New Day a few days ago, but that video only had a few seconds of footage. Luckily, the official trailer is now available and it gives us a much more in-depth look at Firestorm's moveset.
Based on the looks of it, Firestorm will be a pretty formidable opponent with both ranged and powerful juggle moves in up close battles. He's able to strike from anywhere on the screen, with even the ranged attacks landing quickly and leaving little time for blocking.
Earlier today, there was also a new in-game currency called Source Crystals revealed which can be used for cosmetic items and is purchased with real money. Injustice 2 releases on Xbox One and PS4 as well as PC on May 16th. Stay tuned to the official site for future countdowns on character reveals as well
