[WATCH] First gameplay of Chinese Souls-clone, Sinner surfaces

By now, it should come as no surprise that the Chinese would create their own version of a popular phenomenon. They do it with everything from TVs to iPods, books and even Walmart. This time, some gameplay has surfaced from ChinaJoy, essentially the Chinese version of E3, of a game called Sinner, and if you are a fan of the Souls genre, be prepared for a little deja vu.

Fortunately, Sinner appears to be a much more sluggish and less satisfying version of Dark Souls than anything else, so from a competitive standpoint, there's not much to fear. Since China doesn't have any copyright laws to speak of, there's technically nothing illegal about what it is they are doing.

Sinner is not the first clone game to pop up, as clones of Splatoon and Overwatch had popped up for mobile devices about a year ago.

There's not much in the way of details on Sinner, but suffice it to say, you are better off playing a real Souls game or any one of their other inspired games like The Surge instead.
