In 2015, Star Wars: Battlefront released to a mixed reception. It nailed the Star Wars feel with the screen transitions, music, sounds, and more but it lacked any real depth to make it feel like a solid $60 shooter. EA took the criticism to heart and promised to right their wrongs with the sequel which will be released later this year.
This weekend we'll get our first details on the game at Star Wars: Celebration but a brand new trailer has leaked online revealing some cutscenes from the game's campaign. It looks like we'll visit different stories from all eras, both original and retellings of stories from the films. We see scenes with Darth Maul confronting what appears to be Yoda, Rey and Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens, and even a unique story about an imperial pilot. You can view the trailer below (edit: It's been removed, but lives on in the video above).
We'll have more Star Wars: Battlefront 2 coverage this weekend when EA officially lifts the curtain.
