It's amazing how long Fortnite has managed to hang around in development. The game has been talked about since 2011, taking inspiration from Minecraft, which was just getting started in its blockbuster popularity at the time. Typically, when games go quiet as Fortnite has over the years, they inevitably get shelved. So Epic Games must feel pretty confident that after all this time, Fortnite must be worthwhile enough (hopefully) to stick with as it will finally release as an Early Access title later this month.
To get ready for release, Fortnite released a cinematic trailer showing off the game's tone.
Fornite will be launching into paid Early Access on July 25th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but if you pre-order a Founder's Pack, you can get in on the action four days early on July 21st.
We can't wait to see what Epic Games has been doing with Fortnite all this time.
