Gran Turismo Sport has finally found its way into the hands of fans after its long development, courtesy of a closed beta that began last week. The closed beta is something of an exclusive club, as it is only available to select players in the United States. However, the gameplay of the long awaited racing sim has naturally made its way to YouTube, courtesy of YouTubers Shirrako and Pics N Motion.
Gran Turismo Sport was initially pegged for a November 2016 release before being delayed into this year as the developers cited a need for "more time to perfect GT Sport." The game itself promises to be incredibly ambitious as it features two-year-long championships that were actually recognized by the FIA. Players who win these championships will be announced alongside real-world racers, for some added simulation bliss.
Gran Turismo Sport was originally announced back in October 2015 and originally planned to hold its Beta a lot earlier before it was canceled. After the beta had been canceled, it was revealed that the game would not come with day/night or weather cycles. However, if the gameplay from the video above and the series' long history of quality releases is any indication, it will (hopefully) hardly matter.
