[Watch] Here’s the first hour of Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within and a launch trailer

Spoilers, obviously!

Last year, Telltale Games dropped a bomb on all of us in the form of Batman! They combined their great writing and storytelling with the world of one of the most iconic characters in all of fiction and the results gave us one of the freshest takes on the character since Christopher Nolan's version of The Dark Knight Trilogy.

They took a lot of risks by changing some characters and various other things to make it feel like their own personal version of Batman but it really paid off. The game was met with critical acclaim and despite the first season ending in December, Telltale wasn't about to let their hot streak slip away. The studio usually takes their time between episodes and especially different seasons for their games but the turn around on Batman is by far the fastest for the studio.

The first episode of season two will be out next week but if you're really dying to jump back into that world or are simply wondering if it's even worth going back to it at all, we have a nice lengthy look at the game for you. Below you can find the first hour of Batman: The Enemy Within, of course, that means it's going to be filled to the brim with spoilers so proceed with caution! Telltale's individual episodes are usually 2-3 hours long so if you want just a taste to hold you over until it releases, maybe just watch the first few minutes.

If you'd rather have a more curated, shortened look at the game, here's the game's brand new launch trailer!

Batman: The Enemy Within hits digital retailers next week on August 8th, 2017. The game will introduce iconic villains such as The Riddler and will also build off characters we saw in the first season such as The Joker.
