WATCH: Horror-Adventure game, ‘Perception,’ coming next month, new trailer released

Prepare to go in blind.

Perception is a first person psychological horror game where players take on the role of Cassie, a blind woman who must use her incredibly attuned hearing to be able to navigate the world around her, not unlike Daredevil. Developer, The Deep End Games, has announced that Perception will be releasing at the end of next month on May 30th.

Coinciding with the announcement is the release of an all-new trailer called "Break the Silence." Check it out below.

Perception takes place in a haunted mansion that the protagonist has been having nightmares about. After months of research, Cassie tracks it down in Gloucester, Massachusetts. As it turns out, a ghost known as the "Presence" has been haunting the mansion and those who have lived in it for generations. Now the Presence is after Cassie, and it is up to the player to solve the mystery before it claims her too.

The hook behind Perception is that in order to see, Cassie must tap her cane on the ground to get a feel for the environment around her. However, in doing so, she also gives away her position to The Presence, so players must leverage the ambient noise of the house or use objects around the environment to create distractions.

Perception releases on May 30th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
