[Watch] Injustice 2’s Gear System gets details and plenty of customization

Injustice: Gods Among Us Mobile gave players the ability to purchase gear sets and now Injustice 2 is taking the concept of gear and making it ten times deeper with the Gear System. The latest Injustice 2 trailer takes a dive into the Gear System, giving us an idea of what to expect as far as how customizable it is and what the gear can do.

The Gear System levels with you in Injustice 2, as you progress through the game's Arena and level up, more gear becomes available. Higher level gear comes with better stats that effect your Strength, Ability, Defense, and Health. They even come with special Augments and bonuses (the bonuses come with equipping a full set of an item). The gear can even bring special abilities.

It's unclear whether player will have the option of purchasing the gear with microtransactions or if the gear will only be earned in-game.
