[Watch] It’s Peter Moore’s Last Day of 18 Years in the Video Game Industry, Here’s How He Says Farewell

Peter Moore, the former President of SEGA of America, Corporate Vice-President of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business division (Xbox) and until recently, the head of EA Sports has officially resigned from his position at EA Sports and from the gaming industry as he becomes the CEO of Liverpool Football Club.

As a prominent figure in video gaming in America, Peter Moore was well aware of his position and devotion of video gamers to their hobby. Despite starting his career in the video game industry as a non-gamer, he became very involved in the hobby and even got tattoos of games released during his time at Microsoft to show off during events.

As he finishes his last day in the gaming industry, he posted a heartfelt farewell letter, as well as a video highlighting his favorite moments of his career in the past 18 years.

Moore was known for being the president of SEGA of America during the Dreamcast era and keeping the company alive by switching them to a platform-agnostic software publisher.

As mentioned before, at Microsoft, Moore actually got tattoos of Halo 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV and used them when announcing the two games. At EA, Moore headed the EA Sports division, a position that foreshadowed his eventual move to his CEO position at Liverpool. While at EA, he was featured on an episode of South Park about EA.

Taking a short break, Peter will soon take his new role at Liverpool Football Club in June. As mentioned in his farewell letter, here's the video Peter left us with to remember him by:

Good luck Peter! You'll never walk alone either.
