Say what you will about their live action movies, but it's hard to argue DC's prowess at making animated films. Batman: Assault on Arkham is one of my personal favorites, and Justice League Dark is looking to maintain the DC's momentum. Dark deals with the "dark side of justice," and features the return of Matt Ryan as John Constantine after it was rumored that Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor were being considered for the part.
The movie will feature some other lesser known characters such as Swamp Thing, Etrigan the Demon, Black Orchid, Felix Faust, Destiny, and Deadman so that you can think of the film as a bit of an education course in DC lore. The rest of the cast is comprised of Jason O’Mara as Batman, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, and Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman. Another big name to keep your eye one is Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2) who will be voicing Destiny.
Justice League Dark will release on Blu-Ray and as a digital download sometime early next year.
